You must be 21 years or over to take this course and it is the route to a full motorcycle licence.

Once you have passed the theory test and completed a CBT you can go on to do DAS.
A pass on the full motorcycle test allows you to ride any size of bike.

Training is also offered for the Restricted Access licence for under 21's and also for those over 21 who wish to take their test on a 125cc motorcycle. Once you have passed the standard motorcycle test you will be able to ride any motorcycle as long as it is restricted to under 25kW (33 bhp) for the first two years.

The DSA Motorcycle Test is split into two modules and due to test availability there may be a gap between passing Module 1 and taking Module 2.

If you have never ridden a large motorcycle or you feel that you would like more time to become comfortable with riding a larger motorcycle, we recommend a two hour familiarisation/transition session before undertaking the Motorcycle test training itself.

Module 1 - Off Road Manoeuvres Test
Training for this part of the test is generally conducted as follows:
Three Hours on road training on the class of bike to be used for test. This allows you to become comfortable and more than competent at riding/handling a motorcycle. This then leads onto 3 hours practical on site training at our full size training area, practising all the required elements above and beyond test standard for the Module One Test.
Test day consists of an hour warm up, travel to/from test centre and Module One test.

Module 2 - Road Riding Test
Training for this part of the test consists of 2 x 6 Hour practical on road training sessions to ensure your riding skills reach a standard above and beyond the requirements for the test (these sessions may be split further into smaller sessions subject to availability).
Test day consists of an hour warm up, travel to/from test centre and Module Two test.

Based on our track record to date, this method of training has proved the most sucessful way for candidates to pass both the Module One and Module Two test on their first attempt

Both Modules will need to have been successfully completed within two years of passing the motorcycle theory test in order to acquire a full motorcycle licence.
